Your privacy

How Blue Coast Sheds collects, uses and protects your personal information. Effective October 11, 2026.

Blue Coast Sheds is a Sarnia, Ontario dealer of Premier Portable Buildings. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy applies to bluecoastsheds.com, our showroom at 1528 Michigan Line, and our phone, email and text conversations with you.

What personal information we collect

We collect only what we need to help you choose, buy and receive a building:

  • Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and town.
  • Order and delivery details: your delivery address, the building style, size, colours and options you choose, and notes about your site, such as access, slope and base.
  • Purchase records: quotes, orders, deposits, payment records and delivery sign-off.
  • Messages: what you tell us by phone, email, text, our website or in person.
  • Text message consent: whether you agreed to receive text messages, and when and how you agreed or opted out.
  • Website data: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

If you apply for financing or rent-to-own, you apply directly with that provider. We do not collect or store your credit report, banking or card details.

How we use personal information

  • To answer your questions and prepare quotes.
  • To place your order with Premier Portable Buildings and schedule delivery and setup.
  • To contact you about your order, delivery, warranty or service.
  • To send text messages about your request, if you have agreed to receive them.
  • To keep business, tax and warranty records as required by law.
  • To keep our website secure and working properly.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share personal information with

We share only what each party needs to do its part:

  • Premier Portable Buildings, which builds, delivers and warranties your building.
  • Delivery, site preparation and installation crews working on your order.
  • Financing or rent-to-own providers, only when you choose to apply with them.
  • Service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email and phone services. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
  • Government or legal authorities, when the law requires it.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, for example by choosing "Text message" on our contact form and ticking the consent box, Blue Coast Sheds will text you only about your own inquiry, quote, order or visit. That includes replies to your questions, quote follow-ups, showroom appointment reminders, order confirmations and build updates, delivery scheduling and reminders, and warranty or service follow-ups. We do not send promotional or marketing texts. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of purchase.

SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates. We do not share your mobile phone number or text message opt-in information with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We keep a record of when and how you agreed to texts, and when you opted out, so we can respect your choice.

How long we keep personal information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including warranty support and legal and tax record-keeping, which is generally up to seven years after a purchase. Inquiries that do not lead to a purchase are deleted within two years. When we no longer need information, we securely delete or destroy it.

How we protect personal information

We use reasonable safeguards, including password-protected accounts, limited access and secure storage of paper records, to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access.

Your choices and rights

  • You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
  • You can withdraw your consent to texts by replying STOP, or to calls and emails by telling us. This does not affect messages we must send to complete an order you placed.
  • You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

We will respond within 30 days.
